Integrated into automaitc life jackets the AIS transmitter will broadcast an AIS emergency message once the unit is activated automatically when the life jacket is submerged and inflated. The AIS emergency message can be received by every AIS equipped vessel in the vicinity of approx. 12 nautical miles. Of course also the mothership of the MOB crewmen will get this message and will be able to start rescue mission immediately.
It is not for the first time Weatherdock is awarded by a NATO Navy. "We are proud that the very high quality standard and the high approval level of our AIS SART easyRESCUE is matching 100% to the needs and requirements of such important customers," says Alfred Kotouczek, Weatherdock CEO and Speaker of the Board. "The SOLAS approval of the easyRESCUE is most important for all customers in the commercial and military shipping," Alfred Kotouczek continues.
Not only NATO Navys are using the AIS SART easyRESCUE or other high quality products from Weatherdock. There are a lot of European Rescue Organizations who decided to increase the safety level of their own crewmen aboard. At least there are International Authorities and Governments from all over the world who are working with safety and tracking devices from Weatherock.
