• Arvato Systems presents technology for new data-based business models
  • Partner Next Level Integration represented at podium discussion on metering point operation in the metering solutions area

At metering days 2017, IT specialists from Arvato Systems will be showing visitors how to switch over successfully to new data-based business models and presenting an IoT and big data development platform, as well as services for metering point operation.

From 19–20 September 2017, the smart metering sector will be meeting at the trade conference in Fulda, Germany, to discuss the roll-out of intelligent metering systems and the associated business models, in keeping with this year’s theme of ‘Roll-out and business models.’

Arvato Systems will also be appearing to speak on this issue: The Bertelsmann Group’s IT specialists will be showing companies an efficient method for implementing the legally required roll-out of intelligent meters and metering systems, thus creating new business models. In response to the new requirements, the IT service provider will be presenting an IoT and big data platform that allows companies to use their energy data for additional energy services. The modular energy data platform offers clients a simple method of mapping and managing a variety of individual service products, such as smart meter applications. One key new feature is that all the components in the field only need to be networked once. As soon as the big data model has been defined, it is scalable with as many services as desired, and many new business models can be tested and implemented.

Representatives of Dr. Stefan Klose, Managing Director of the Arvato Systems company Next Level Integration GmbH, will also be taking part in the ‘Software & Application’ podium discussion, which will be held in the ‘Metering Solutions Area’ at 2:30 p.m. on the first day of the congress. During the discussion, IT experts will be examining the latest challenges in the field of metering point operation.

metering days is the annual trade forum for smart metering (the use of intelligent metering systems).

The trade congress is aimed at grid operators, sales representatives, metering point operators, service providers, and manufacturers. More than 600 visitors are expected at this year’s metering days event, which will be held on 19 and 20 September at the Hotel Esperanto in Fulda, Germany.
