The NeuroXM suite won for its potential to help clinicians in neurology and psychiatry improve diagnosis and optimize individual therapy planning for patients with traumatic brain injuries and other neurological disorders. It can also be used to perform patient stratification to help identify preventative measures to protect against neurological disorders like PTSD.
The NeuroXM suite integrates heterogeneous information from neuroimaging, psychological testing, blood values, genome analysis and more. With the software, it becomes possible to identify distinct structural and functional connections in a brain image of a patient and semantically integrate them with functional, experimental and neurogenomic information, and other data from public and proprietary sources. In this way, data representing a nerve bundle or fiber (i.e., a connection in a connectome), for example, can be integrated with a wide range of other revealing data.
According to Biomax CEO, Dr. Klaus Heumann, “The NeuroXM suite offers a flexibility not previously known in the neurology field and opens new opportunities in psychiatric diagnosis, pathophysiology and treatment. We are excited to have its medical potential recognized by this award.”
