The ODU-MAC® can be used in applications requiring connectors with a high degree of locking tightness in a small space. This tight standard solution can also provide at least 30,000 locking cycles, after which the spindle screw can be easily replaced. As this only requires a single screw, the process can be done quickly without dismantling the entire connector.
The ODU spindle locking option offers a compact, ergonomic design ensuring great precision. Compared to standard products on the market, the ODU-MAC® locking and release functions are extremely quick and easy. ODU has also expanded its housing varieties to include an additional locking option: efficient transverse locking. This plastic housing is now in stock and available in sizes 1 to 4, tightness class IP65.
In addition to this, ODU provides custom-fit connectors and contact technologies for a wide range of industries and, upon request, even as a system solution complete with the right cable. “We’re excited when customers give us a real challenge, particularly those who are working on new projects and need our expertise and our connectors,” says Thomas Irl, Sales Director Europe at ODU.
New: ODU MEDI-SNAP® overmolded plastic system solution in Size 2
ODU is also expanding its MEDI-SNAP® plastic portfolio with a new break-away connector. As a system solution, the connector is designed for intuitive handling and immediate use.
The metal ODU MINI-SNAP® connector with push-pull locking will also be presented at the trade fair, along with efficient hybrid connectors which enable the combined transmission of different media ‒ such as water, compressed air or gases ‒ in a single interface.
This guarantees top performance (100 Mbit/s data transmission, up to 22 signals, etc.) in the smallest of spaces.
Furthermore, ODU will be presenting high-performance data connectors which enable the highest of data transfer rates, e.g., UBS 3.1 Gen1.
There’s quite possibly no limit to the application opportunities for high-tech connectors in the industrial sector. As a special-case expert, ODU is happy to develop complete customer-specific solutions in addition to its standard product range. “It’s an area where we have a wealth of experience,” adds Irl. ODU combines experience with expertise and future-forward technologies. ODU can be found at SPS IPC Drives 2017 in Hall 10, Booth 330. For further information go to www.odu-connectors.com
