Scheufelen wins an Innovation Award for Grass Paper – the Scheufelen „Greenliner“ convinces the trade visitors at Fruit Logistica Berlin

The Scheufelen paper mill is focused on the development of high quality premium papers and packaging board. At its location in Lenningen, Germany, Scheufelen, with around 320 employees per year, reaches a capacity of approx. 120,000 tonnes of paper and packaging board made from FSC- and PEFC-certified pulp, as well as up to 50% grass fiber content.

The brands heaven 42, phoenolux, bvs and the new graspapier and greenliner, which have been introduced since 2017, are available in different basis weights and surfaces. Typical application areas for heaven42 and bvs are high-quality business reports, image brochures, advertising brochures, high-quality books, art prints and calendars.
Due to its wide range of basis weights from 160 to 450 g / m2, phoenolux is suitable for graphic applications, but also for packaging in segments that have to meet the highest standards – such as cosmetics, beauty, pharmaceuticals.
The new graspapier, phoenogras and greenliner are suitable for high demanding packaging solutions as well as for corrugated board with special economical and ecological advantages.

The criterias for quality and environmental protection are essential for papermaking at Scheufelen – the long-established company is the only German paper mill to produce in a biosphere reserve.
