CloudBees, the enterprise DevOps leader powering the continuous economy, today announced it is introducing a commercial Kubernetes-native application available immediately in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Marketplace. The new offering will provide users with end-to-end coverage of all software delivery pipelines. With the launch of the GCP Marketplace, for the first time ever commercial Kubernetes applications are available to deploy with one click to Google Kubernetes Engine. CloudBees, a Google Technical Partner, is also a sponsor of Google Next, July 24-26, Booth 3017, Moscone West.

GCP Marketplace is based on a multi-cloud and hybrid-first philosophy, focused on giving Google Cloud partners and enterprise customers flexibility without lock-in. It also helps customers innovate by easily adopting new technologies from ISV partners, such as commercial Kubernetes-native applications, and allows companies to oversee the full lifecycle of a solution from discovery through management.

Today, DevOps software delivery pipelines represent a tremendous compute workload. For example, users of Jenkins, the most popular open source continuous delivery server, run over 19 million jobs, monthly, on 725,000+ servers*. CloudBees Core offers deep integration with Kubernetes and a way for IT organizations to leverage investments in all environments – on-premise and in the cloud – to run DevOps workloads, with no changes required. This provides a highway to Kubernetes adoption for IT organizations by allowing any developer, not just those doing cloud native development, to realize the benefits of automatic scalability, elasticity and portability.

"At CloudBees we like to say that “every business is a software business.” With the rapid adoption of Kubernetes this statement is becoming truer than ever; opening the doors to digital transformation for enterprises large and small," said Jason Mero, vice president of business development, CloudBees. "The ability to easily deploy CloudBees Core on Kubernetes in a single click significantly reduces the overhead required to manage an enterprise continuous delivery platform that is vital to adopting a DevOps culture and transforming the business."

"To remain competitive and deliver on user demands, organizations adopting cloud need ready access to trusted, tested and portable applications that can run across their entire infrastructure. At Google Cloud, we strive to make it as easy as possible for customers of all sizes to deploy, purchase and manage leading solutions in the cloud," said Jennifer Lin, director of product management, Google Cloud. "The availability of commercial Kubernetes applications from providers like CloudBees is a critical part of extending enterprise investments and can simplify adoption of container-based infrastructure no matter what environment they operate in, either on-premise or in the public cloud.”

*Number of projects and nodes are from active installations (those that report back to the Jenkins project) as of June 30, 2018. Information provided by the Jenkins project.
