The version 2.6.72 of the biz²ScanServer represents a new concept which functionally builds on the old version, but offers a software architecture which makes it is possible to react very flexibly to future market developments and customer demands.
The highlights of the upgrade:
Higher overall computing performance
Since a lot of inPuncto’s existing customers have grown massively in the last years and, in the framework of the progressive digitalization, have to process more documents in the shortest possible time, their requirements concerning the software for the processing of documents have changed as well. The overall computing performance of the biz²ScanServer can now simply be adjusted to changing needs by means of the number of logical processors in order to simultaneously perform more tasks in a shorter period of time.
Flexible configuration
Adjustments do not have to be carried out directly in the program code anymore, the new version of the biz²ScanServerscan be configured flexibly which enables the fast realization of customer requests. In case of requirements going beyond the configuration possibilities, new elements can be implemented more easily and cost-efficiently by a higher degree of modularity.
Flexibility in the configuration of incoming e-mails
It is possible to configure the e-mail inbox of the new biz²ScanServers in such a manner that several invoices in an e-mail can be processed at the same time or that specific e-mail inboxes process specific invoice formats. The e-mail inbox can, for example, be configured in a way that it processes e-formats like ZUGFeRD or XRechnung and a different inbox processes invoices containing terms and conditions for example.
Improvement concerning the recognition of non-Unicode character sets
Due to the increasing internationalization, the new biz²ScanServer is fully Unicode-capable. Particularly in the international e-mail correspondence, this is an important issue. Normally, the requests in mails are language-neutral. However, they can be displayed differently, depending on the sending system. All existing characters of the world are represented in Unicode. Since even nowadays a lot of e-mails are still sent in a non-Unicode character set, the international recognition of non-Unicode character sets has particularly been improved in the new version of the biz²ScanServer.
Simple performance analysis
The biz²ScanServer consists of a server component on the one hand and of an administrative client component on the other hand. In the client component statistical data is recorded and can also be viewed there, which enables the very accurate identification of bottlenecks in the performance.
New connecting component between Microsoft and SAP
With the new connecting component between Microsoft and SAP, SAP-Landscape is supported for example: Here it is specified to which server the users and thus the biz²ScanServer logs onto. So far, these directives have been stored in files on the corresponding computer, this can now be centrally determined in SAP-Landscape.
