Increased productivity in just a few days

It was a time for celebrations when the new plant was installed at Edi Recycling in Lyss / Switzerland. However, it did not take long to notice that the machine was not delivering the required rate of output. There were insuffi cient rubber dampers to effectively alleviate the oscillations at the recycling fi lter. The extreme residual vibrations were transferred to the steel construction, which resulted in a massive loss in capacity. Consequently, productivity was far from the anticipated level. It was clear that this problem had to be resolved immediately.

The Solution 

Elias Nützi from mwn GmbH contacted ROSTA AG as he usually does in such cases. Analysis revealed that the installed rubber dampers were not able to withstand the load. The problem was resolved very quickly by replacing the rubber dampers with eight ROSTA AB elements. This resulted in a massive increase in throughput and increased productivity to the desired level. It even exceeded the expectations of Edi Recycling.

Products used

The ROSTA elements used are AB 50 and AB 45. These are maintenance-free elastic joints, designed to support the free oscillating vibrating screens in various models. They support the propulsion power in the conveying direction and provide for good linear guidance. The ROSTA AB elements are designed not only to act as a spring but also to absorb the strong vibrations quickly and effectively.
