Photonics Systems Group appoints Eckhard Schäfer as Vice President Sales Asia

Eckhard brings in more than 25 years’ professional experience in the high-tech equipment industry, establishing worldwide sales and after service organizations for new industries and emerging markets.
“We are very happy to get Eckhard on board to organize our sales and after sales structure in Asia,” said Antonio Schmidt – CSO of the Photonics Systems Group.

“Eckhard´s excellent knowledge of structuring the sales and after sales business is a valuable asset that will help us to expand our business in Asia.

Eckhard comes to the Photonics Systems Group from his previous role as Vice President After Sales at Manz AG where he was responsible for all worldwide after sales activities, including displays, energy storage, electronics and photovoltaics. He commented: “I look forward to expand the business of the Photonics Systems Group in Asia with an excellent sale and after sales force.”

Eckhard has an background in electrical engineering and worked many years in service and commissioning functions before he took over more management responsibilities.
