• Arvato Systems’ Video Production Management Suite (VPMS) can now scale up media services on demand
  • Vidinet makes media services available on a consumption basis, providing cost transparency for all tasks
  • Available for demonstration at NAB 2019 on booth SU10106

Arvato Systems announced today that its Video Production Management Suite (VPMS) customers are now able to access cloud-based media services from Vidispine’s Vidinet platform to seamlessly extend their on-premise infrastructure on demand.

This new ability to subscribe to the Vidinet media services platform via VPMS is a convenient way for users to scale up media services, such as transcode and automated Quality Control (QC), quickly and cost-efficiently as required, rather than making large upfront investments in infrastructure that is only occasionally used.

Launched at IBC 2017, Vidinet is the industry leading media supply chain platform from Vidispine, an Arvato Systems company. Media services include transcoding and conversion tools from Vidispine, AWS Elemental and Cinnafilm, automated QC tools from Tektronix, and other analysis and media processing services. Vidinet consolidates billing from all media services in one simple to understand overview, giving the customer full control over all costs.

“VPMS customers can now manage fluctuating demand by increasing capacity only as and when they need to,” said Christian Siegert, Head of Product Management VPMS at Arvato Systems. “This flexibility means that customers not only avoid having to make significant investments, but also have complete transparency and control of costs by consumption.”

“With VPMS connected to the Vidinet platform, all VPMS customers get on-demand access to all existing services on Vidinet, as well as any future service launched on the Vidinet platform,” said Nils Lefring, Head of Platform Delivery at Vidispine. “This gives customers the opportunity to try new innovative services as they appear on Vidinet.”

VPMS and Vidinet will be available for demonstration, together with a range of Arvato Systems’ solutions for broadcast management, MAM and Video, on Stand SU10106, at NAB 2019, taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from 8-11 April 2019.
