With a newly found subsidiary in Brisbane, Australia, GBTEC expands into the Asia Pacific market. The German company offers business process management and governance, risk, and compliance solutions. GBTEC successfully starts its expansion into the APAC region by winning customers like the Bank of Queensland.

Brisbane, September 16, 2019 – The German specialist for business process management (BPM), GBTEC Software + Consulting AG, announces the launch of its subsidiary in Brisbane. On September 4, Daniel Rayner, Managing Director of GBTEC Australia, met with the founder and CEO of GBTEC, Gregor Greinke, in the company’s headquarters in Bochum, Germany, to initiate the venture.

The main software of GBTEC, the BPM suite BIC Cloud, is a modern solution for the modeling, analysis, optimization and automation of business processes. Early on, the company unlocked the potential of cloud technology for its software solutions. In 2018, GBTEC Software + Consulting was named by Gartner as a Representative Vendor in the “Market Guide for Enterprise Business Process Analysis” (1) for the second consecutive year.

The success of GBTEC and its software solutions is confirmed by over 700 customers from various sectors. Customers include world-renowned corporations such as Mitsubishi and Vodafone, Hidden Champions such as Osram, as well as various federal ministries and universities. For the beginning expansion, GBTEC has identified the APAC region as a key market for further growth. With the new subsidiary in Australia, the company aims for a steady growth of regional sales.

Daniel Rayner is motivated to establish the BPM specialist as market leader in his home country. He says: “Besides the acquisition of new customers, I continuously enhance the existing network in Australia and further develop partner cooperations. These activities enabled us to win the Bank of Queensland as one of the first customers here. This is the foundation for our successful expansion and allows us to establish GBTEC as leading vendor of BPM software in this region."

Gregor Greinke highlights the importance of local offices for the organic growth of his company: ”We identified the region Asia-Pacific as a BPM market with strong growth, offering a multitude of opportunities for our software solutions. Process management is already deeply embedded in many sectors. The founding of our Australian subsidiary is the logical step towards the further internationalization of GBTEC. With Daniel Rayner, we found a reliable partner who shares my drive and enthusiasm for business process management."
