- Innovo Cloud and Rittal come top in readers’ poll of leading IT specialist media
- Gold in the “Pre-Build Datacenter” category
- Pre-configured, turnkey solutions impress with their rapid usability
Businesses are increasingly relying on pre-configured data centres in order to establish new IT landscapes rapidly and efficiently. According to the market researchers at IDC, IT growth is chiefly being driven by edge solutions; by 2023, more than half the new IT infrastructures in companies will be edge data centres. Currently, the proportion is less than 10% (source “IT Industry Predictions 2020”). Pre-configured (“pre-build”), turnkey data centres with cloud integration are being used in these edge infrastructures, which can be quickly deployed by the customer by plug-and-play. Sister companies Rittal and Innovo Cloud offer comprehensive solutions that range from small edge data centres to turnkey cloud data centres in containers.
Gold for pre-configured data centre solutions
With these solutions, the sister companies were, for the first time, both able to convince the readers of the seven Vogel IT specialist media portals. Their prize was gold (for second place) in the “Pre-Build Datacenter” IT Award category.
“We are delighted to have won an award together with Innovo Cloud for the first time. Winning the readers’ poll is a great recognition for our joint work. With its many years of experience and expertise in designing and operating cloud platforms, the German cloud provider represents an ideal addition to our portfolio. Companies can now obtain secure, scalable IT and cloud infrastructure solutions from a single source,” said Wolfgang Ritt, IT systems engineer at Rittal at the award ceremony in Augsburg.
Time-to-market is a critical success factor
“Time-to-market is a critical factor in an age when digital transformation is constantly advancing throughout business areas and existing IT systems are undergoing modernisation. Standardised data centre architectures and scalable service models are the right solution here. They are characterised by short delivery times and reliable operating quality. “The award is a great endorsement of how our joint solutions are helping businesses to address the emerging IT challenges,” said Supriyo Bhattacharya, Head of Business Development for Innovo Cloud, as he accepted the prize at the award ceremony.
Rittal had already been among the frontrunners in the readers’ poll of leading IT trade media in the four previous years. The platinum, gold and silver IT Awards were presented by Vogel IT-Medien this October for the fifth time. The readers of the seven specialist portals had submitted almost 38,500 votes in no less than 43 categories between April and August.
