The new devices with their ultra-compact design have 4, 6, 8 inputs. In contrast, the existing WAP has 24 inputs. The backlit windows are offered with multicoloured RGB LEDs with 6 colours (green, red, yellow, orange, white and blue) to adapt to the specific alarming needs on site. The window colours as well as input processing is completely parameterizable by software. Also status LED for operation, collective reports, horn and power supplies are available.

Up to 4 devices are cascadable to form a bigger I/O range. The devices can be cascaded to one big virtual annunciator in terms of parameterization, acknowledgement and synchronization with up to 96 inputs. In addition to this, repeat relays freely assignable to inputs are integrated. A horn is integrated as well. The repeat relays are also triggerable from IEC interface to execute single or double commands (e.g. IEC 61850).

Furthermore the new devices offer also a mute or unmanned functionality. Digital connection to IEC 61850 is possible via RJ45 network connections or optical fiber SC plugs with the WAP 24. This version provides more highlights as the window size can be freely enlarged without any mechanical works, as a multiple in width and length, so that rectangular or bigger square windows are possible.

All settings are made on the web interface of the device, i.e. changes can be made by drag and drop with the mouse. Thereby 3 parameterisable collective reports, integrated horn, relay output for external horn and parameterisable push buttons are available.

All WAP devices feature inputs in various voltage versions from 24-220 AC/DC for supply and signal voltages. More over redundant power supplies are available to enlarge the MTBF time or else to use different types of voltages in case of any power breakdown.

EES will show the new WAP at the Middle East Energy in Dubai from 3-5 March 2020, one of the biggest exhibitions particularly in regard of energy generation and distribution. Visit EES at booth G27 in Hall 1 in the German Pavilion.
