Artificial Intelligence Challenge

KUKA has been presenting the Innovation Award since 2014, each time with a different technology in focus. In the coming year, the focus will be on the topic of artificial intelligence (AI). "AI is becoming increasingly important for companies and industry. Especially in combination with robotics, it opens up completely new possibilities and applications. We are looking forward to exciting concepts and new perspectives", says Dr. Rainer Bischoff, Vice President Corporate Research at KUKA.

Research teams from all over the world can submit their ideas for the "Artificial Intelligence Challenge" until June 21, 2020. An international jury of experts will evaluate the concepts and select five finalists who will be able to implement their ideas using KUKA hardware. The final teams will be provided with a KUKA robot free of charge for at least six months, as well as training and coaching from KUKA experts throughout the competition.

The Innovation Award finals are traditionally held at a major trade fair. There, the teams present their applications to a large specialist audience from industry and research, as well as media representatives and investors. The winner will receive prize money of € 20,000.
