NICARA stands for NeuroImaging-based Connectome Assessment in Research and Application. The innovative software is especially designed for people working with brain data, who wish to gain a deeper insight into the world of Connectomics. "Assessing the individual patient’s Connectome—the map of the brain’s neural connections—in daily clinical routine is a huge step towards personalized medicine in neurology and psychiatry," explains Dr Markus Butz-Ostendorf, Innovation Manager of Brain Science at Biomax. Using one or more modules of NICARATM, users can easily build, browse, edit or compare connectomes, without extensive prior knowledge in this field. Four different modules are currently available. Further modules are coming soon. As zero-footprint solution no software or hardware installations are required on customers site.
Biomax looks back on more than 20 years of experience in the field of systematic knowledge management. "NICARA is our newest product for the life science industry and a great step forward in the field of Brain Sciences,” emphasizes Dr. Klaus Heumann, CEO and Co-founder of Biomax Informatics. “Based on our NeuroXM Technology Platform we offer our customers with NICARA a ready-to-use SaaS application to enter the world of Connectomics at a favorable price."
For 2020, the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference®, AAIC, the largest and most influential international meeting dedicated to advancing dementia science, has transitioned into a virtual conference – free of charge. Biomax experts will present NICARATM in great detail on the company’s virtual booth.
