Raynet, leading provider of enterprise application lifecycle management products and services, is mentioned in the SAM Magic Quadrant for the first time. Gartner honoures Asperas end-to-end software asset management solution SmartTrack and SmartCollect powered by RayVentory.

"We are extremely proud to be qualified this year for the Magic Quadrant Software Asset Management Tools as well as the Unified Endpoint Management Tools Quadrant. Together with Aspera, we have now been named "Hidden Technology Champion" and the only "Challenger" in the quadrant.", declares Ragip Aydin, founder and managing director of Raynet, happily. "Our goal for 2021 is to establish Raynet as a visionary for SAM and UEM tools and to become a pioneer for Enterprise Inventory Management, which is becoming increasingly important. We are working on it with high pressure and already today our long-standing customers confirm that we have chosen the right way with this strategy". With the vision to cover all IP devices of a company and furthermore the entire industry 4.0, IoT as well as IIoT technologies, Raynet defines concrete goals to further strengthen its position as a leading manufacturer for Discovery, Inventory and Data Management.

At the end of 2019, Aspera and Raynet expanded their strategic partnership, which had already existed since 2014, into an intensive technological cooperation and in this context concluded a software license and distribution agreement for the integration of their products. In this process, the Enterprise Inventory Solution RayVentory was integrated into Asperas SAM solution SmartCollect powered by RayVentory and the two solutions merged into Aspera SmartTrack, which takes a holistic approach to both data collection and processing. Raynet offers this all-in-one solution in its product portfolio under RaySAMi. The combination of Aspera SmartTrack and Raynet RayVentory has made a remarkable development over the past months due to the deep integration, which is not only recognized by joint customers of both companies but also by Gartner analysts.

"In partnership with Raynet, Aspera SmartCollect powered by RayVentory enables companies to collect, inventory and measure software usage by a variety of different methods. These capabilities will be extended to software running on AWS, Microsoft Azure and GCP, but currently lack support for other public cloud environments such as Oracle Cloud and IBM Cloud. Using a browser-based agent, Aspera can discover SaaS applications and offers more than 40 pre-built API integrations with SaaS vendors such as Adobe, Salesforce and Office 365.", explains Gartner in the newly released score card published with the Magic Quadrant. Support for additional cloud environments is already on the roadmap and will be provided in an upcoming version of RayVentory.

With these words a customer from the telecommunications industry praises Raynet on Gartners Peer Insights and rates the overall solution with five out of five stars: "RayVentory has been installed for 1.5 years as an independent discovery & inventory tool. […] The flexibility and scalability functionalities of the product are very satisfactory. We have witnessed many improvements during our project. Customer services are really supportive." The main motivation for purchasing an inventory solution was, in addition to creating a compliance position by collecting hardware and software information from all devices in the IT landscape, to improve risk and cost management and create internal and operational transparency and efficiency.

Good software asset management solutions are essential for managing today’s increasingly complex license metrics and cloud usage. As a result, stakeholders from a wide range of industries need to understand the market to select vendors that can reduce risk, optimize costs, and improve business results. The Gartner study evaluates the major SAM tool vendors and helps you to find the right partner for your SAM project.
