The Intel® Core™ i5 or i7 Quad-Core processors of the 8th generation deliver the necessary performance with a dynamic clock rate of up to 4 GHz without compromising to handle all tasks. In the basic configuration, the notebook has a 256 GB SSD as well as a main memory of 8 or 16 GB RAM.
Designed for reliable connectivity, the Rockbook X550 features Intel®Dual Band WLAN, Bluetooth 4.2 BLE, a uBlox GPS/GNSS module and optional integrated high-speed 4G LTE connection. On the connection side, the Rockbook X550 convinces with four USB ports (3 x USB 3.0), one serial port, two Ethernet ports and an SD card slot. Via an expansion slot, the functions can be extended with an additional hard disk, NFC/RFID read/write module or smart card reader. Unrestricted operability is provided by the crystal clear, outdoor readable 15.6" Full HD IPS display with a brightness of 700 cd/m2 and a high viewing angle of 85° from all sides. A high-quality display protection film is optionally available to protect against reflections.
The Rockbook X550 offers intelligent protection thanks to the integrated TPM 2.0 module. The discrete cryptoprocessor serves as protection against unauthorised access and as a secure memory for cryptographic keys (e.g. from Windows BitLocker). A fingerprint sensor already included in the standard scope of delivery supports secure logins via Windows Hello.
The fully rugged notebook is light and compact for its class with a thickness of just 3.7 cm and a weight of 3 kg. An integrated carry handle makes it very comfortable to carry while working. For long working days, the Rockbook X550 comes with two batteries: a 46 Wh hot-swap battery and an additional 14.8 Wh permanently installed battery. By changing the battery without shutting down the device, the battery life can be extended indefinitely.
Designed for maximum robustness, the WEROCK Rockbook X550 can stand up to even the most adverse environmental conditions. It complies with MIL-STD-810G for military equipment and IP65 for dust and water ingress protection. It can withstand drops from up to 1.2 metres during operation and is extremely resistant to heat and cold.
