The first speakers of the B3 Biennial of the Moving Image 2022 have been confirmed. Once again this year, international creatives and personalities will present their latest works and ideas. As always, the moving image is the focus of B3 and will be illuminated in all its facets. Short and long films, VR/AR works, video art, art installations and games will compete in competition series.
The lineup of speakers announced so far for the B3 Conference Program gives a first taste of another controversial and exciting festival in October.
Special guests at the conference include Jo Baker from the UK and Daragh Carville from Ireland. Bestselling English author Jo Baker had her international breakthrough in 2014 with the novel LONGBOURN, which will also be made into film. She will give an insight into creative writing and read from her works.
Daragh Carville is an award-winning playwright and screenwriter and best known for hit series like THE BAY. Carville will speak about his work, especially THE BAY, in a Master Class.
In addition to film enthusiasts, gaming and VR fans can also look forward to director Damien Goodwin’s Master Class. His best-known video game projects include award-winning titles such as THE WITCHER 3: BLOOD AND WINE and DRAGON AGE INQUISITION.
The application period for the B3 Short Film Competition starts now

Filmmakers can now apply to participate with their short films. From all entries, a selection committee will choose a total of 20 projects, which will be presented as exclusive German premieres at the B3 on- and offline. The B3 Biennial of the Moving Image is celebrating its tenth anniversary and will take place from October 15 to 23, 2022 in Frankfurt am Main.
