“Wherever it says MOTUL, it means high performance. MOTUL’s high level of expertise has long been legendary in motorsport. We are all the more pleased that the bicycle world can finally benefit from MOTUL’s quality and innovative strength. The product range covers the most common areas of application very well. And the price/performance ratio is excellent. Particularly noteworthy is the consistently sustainable approach that Motul pursues both with the products for end users and with regard to the solutions for bicycle workshops," says Dennis Schömburg, Managing Director of Messingschlager GmbH & Co. KG.
“Our new bicycle care products are the logical consequence of 170 years of work in the car and motorcycle sector. In particular, the positive experiences with care products for motorcycles and the outstanding customer feedback have now inspired us to develop products for the bicycle sector," says Mark Grunert, Head of Marketing MOTUL Germany.
MOTUL will soon be available in the Messingschlager portfolio from leading online retailers and well-known retail wholesalers.
Here are the most important facts and dates about MOTUL:
- As one of the world’s largest manufacturers of lubricants and care products, MOTUL takes its responsibility for the environment very seriously. Right from the start, the focus for the bicycle products was on recyclable packaging, the absence of propellant gases in the spray products and the biodegradability of the liquids and fats used.
- The lubricants with ester technology retain their excellent lubricating properties even after a long period of use and provide optimal protection for heavily used components such as gearshifts, chains or sprockets. This means that they surpass the performance of existing chain lubricants, e.g. based on PTFE.
- The total of eight products, each with two cleaning and degreasing sprays, two chain lubricants and a multifunctional oil for the drive, bearings and Bowden cables, as well as a tubeless sealant, will be available from March 10, 2023. In the professional sector, the MOTUL BioClean washbasin complements the program – for environmentally friendly and biodegradable parts cleaning in the workshop.
- The product launch is accompanied and supported with an extensive marketing and PR campaign, cooperation with influencers and top athletes as well as various POS advertising materials. MOTUL’s bicycle care series celebrates its public premiere at Cyclingworld Europe in Düsseldorf. Events like the 3Rides Festival in Aachen or the Dirtmasters Festival Winterberg are on MOTUL’s event agenda.
