The DDR5 RDIMM has a register to improve clock, command and control signals as well as one-bit error detection and correction. The memory modules are fully tested and optimised for stability and performance. Only original ICs are used to meet industry standards. The power management IC provides a constant voltage of 1.1 V and has been moved to the DIMM, reducing redundant power management circuitry on the motherboard for unused DIMM slots in previous generations. According to JEDEC standards, the DDR5 specification brings the maximum possible capacity for a single DDR5 DIMM to 128GB, a theoretical maximum transfer rate of 6400MT/s, which is double the DDR4 rate, and improved power consumption. Another important structural change is the dual-channel DIMM architecture. In DDR5, each DIMM has two 40-bit channels consisting of 32 data bits and 8 ECC data bits. Two independent sub-channels improve the efficiency of memory access and result in higher speeds with higher efficiency. The operating temperature range is from 0°C to +95°C. The devices feature anti-sulfurisation protection for use in harsh environments and a 30μ" Golden Finger overlay. They are RoHS compliant and CE/FCC certified. The modules are available in 16GB and 32GB capacities at 4800MT/s.
Typical applications are in servers, networking and healthcare.
The DDR5 WT (Wide Temperature) RDIMM is suitable for use in the extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +95°C. Areas of applications include all automotive, surveillance and medical applications. Applications here include all automotive, surveillance, automation and embedded applications.
The stability of automated optical inspection (AOI) systems is critical to efficiency in semiconductor production. Innodisk’s DDR5 RDIMM is designed to solve common problems of AOI systems. These are, for example, limitations in memory bandwidth, problems with accuracy and high temperatures. Large memory capacities, a dual 40-bit sub-channel architecture and side-band ECC for thorough error detection, as well as thermal sensors and monitoring functions ensure the use of Innodisk’s DDR5 RDIMM in AOI applications.
