• DMEA, April 25-27, 2023, in Berlin, Germany, is Europe’s leading event for Digital Health
  • Arvato Systems presents IDP and TIM to the trade audience as future solutions for medical practices and other medical facilities

Digitization in the healthcare sector can be driven forward even faster with a well-designed telematics infrastructure (TI). How this works in practice is a question that trade visitors to Arvato Systems‘ DMEA trade fair stand will be able to address in depth. Arvato Systems is a long-standing industry partner for telematics infrastructure services, and this is precisely where the presentations and content at DMEA come in. Core topics are Identity Provider (IDP) and TI-Messenger (TIM) in connection with the trend topic Artificial Intelligence (AI).

What is the current state of digitization in medical practices and other medical facilities? Jan Meincke, CEO of MediSoftware, the practice management system provider, will discuss this issue with Arvato Systems product managers Isabel Mehlmann and Dr. Jens Weitkamp on Wednesday (April 26) from 4.30 p.m. in Hall 5.2 on Stage A. The title of this exciting panel is "With a mouse click: Seamless Integration of KIM & TIM for More Efficiency in Practice Management." Meincke, Weitkamp and Mehlmann will explain how the seamless and user-friendly integration of Arvato Systems‘ new TI services such as KIM (Communication in Medicine) and TIM (TI Messenger) into practice management systems can be achieved without any problems.

The basis of an efficient telematics infrastructure is an identity provider (IDP) with decentralized identities, which should guarantee the security of the telematics infrastructure 2.0. A digital identity makes it possible to authenticate oneself using mobile devices and thus gain access to the electronic patient record (ePA) and the e-prescription. With its IDP, Arvato Systems realizes a full-service offering for mobile, digital identities. This is also the subject of the presentation "Bringing the future into the present: Wallet-based identity management". On April 25, from 1:35 p.m. to 3:05 p.m., Kai Ketzer, Senior Manager eHealth at Arvato Systems, will discuss the current status, influence and outlook for the European data space and digital identities in Hall 6.2, Stage B.

Trend Topic AI
Artificial intelligence (AI) is also a central theme of the trade fair and Arvato Systems will be showing what future AI applications could look like. For example, third-party systems such as AI and chatbots can be docked onto TI Messenger. It will soon be a reality that a nurse will chat with doctors about the new dosage of a medication. If lab values and nursing reports are uploaded as an image in the chat, TIM will in future be able to structure this unstructured data and store it in the electronic patient record (ePA). In the future, the docked AI will be able to evaluate this data or create indicative progress curves.

"At the DMEA, we will not only present innovative products, but also exchange ideas with the forward-thinking minds in the industry," says Klaus Fetzer, Arvato Systems Executive Board member and responsible for the Health and Public division. "Only together can we continue to think about and shape the digitization of healthcare."

Arvato Systems kindly invites all visitors to the DMEA to visit booth E-106, Hall 2.2.
