On 21 and 22 June 2023, FeuerTrutz will once again provide a compact overview of all new developments in passive, active and organisational fire protection. As the key gathering for the sector, it is the ideal platform for professionals in preventive fire protection from all over Europe and a crucial trend barometer for solutions and products for fire prevention and containment. This year, the supporting programme offers some brand-new highlights, including two new forums.

“To enable our visitors from all around Europe to make the most of their trade fair attendance, we have always ensured that the supporting programme is a successful blend of professional development, live experiences and networking opportunities. This year, the programme will offer even more variety! It’s the perfect complement to the products and innovations of the expected around 230 exhibitors and guarantees two unforgettable trade fair days,” says Stefan Dittrich, Director of FeuerTrutz at NürnbergMesse.

NEW: Forum by asecos academy with “red sofa” discussion panel

One of the two major innovations in the FeuerTrutz 2023 supporting programme is the forum by asecos academy in Hall 4, Stand 4-440, where on both days of the fair, visitors can enjoy live demonstrations and presentations on the handling of hazardous substances. Experienced speakers will also share their expertise on the dangers and risks of lithium-ion batteries and the safe handling and storage of hazardous substances. The new forum is rounded out by the “red sofa” discussion panel. At 1 pm on the first day of the fair, three experts will discuss “Failure of critical infrastructure: A topic for preventive fire protection?” and explore the possible effects of the failure of critical infrastructure on preventive fire protection. NEW forum: A practical guide to digitalisation

A dedicated forum on digitalisation puts another critical issue for the future under the spotlight. The presentations cover a range of topics for digital newcomers and seasoned professionals alike and are geared to the requirements of trade visitors from all segments, i.e., fire protection designers, certified experts, installers, fire safety officers, architects, professional and works firefighters etc. Practice-driven interviews and discussion panels with business owners and experts provide insights into how other companies have successfully jumped on the digitalisation bandwagon: How do I structure and organise my digitalisation? Is it possible to archive knowledge and know-how consistently? Why is there no way around the digital construction file? Can cloud applications measurably improve my workflows? How do I successfully use digitalisation to win staff and customers? The answers to these and many other questions will be provided in Hall 4, Stand 4-123 on both days of the fair. The full programme for the forum “A practical guide to digitalisation” is available at: www.feuertrutz-messe.de/digitalisation

Exhibitor Forum: discussions and presentations on fire protection trends

As well as the two new forums described above, visitors can once again attend the Exhibitor Forum in Hall 4A, Stand 4A-300 free of charge to learn about new products and approaches to current trending issues. The 25 presentations on the agenda include topics like “Wooden fire doors – physical and formal limitations in detail” and “New firefighting approaches using air flow simulations for different types of buildings”.

Fire Protection EXPERIENCE: impressive indoor and outdoor demonstrations

How do specific fire protection products work in extreme situations? As always, the Fire Protection EXPERIENCE demonstration area gets to the heart of this question. There are live fire simulations in the outdoor area twice a day, including a demonstration of heat-insulating textiles and a measuring vehicle for fire extinguishing technology. In addition, the TÜV Rheinland fire smoke simulator shows in real time how smoke clouds move in the event of a fire. Interested visitors can also see fire simulations indoors. At the STÖBICH Group stand (4A-303) in Hall 4A, for example, there will be a demonstration of how a passable smoke curtain works.

Other highlights include special display areas and after-work event

FeuerTrutz also addresses the issue of the shortage of skilled personnel and promotion of young talent in a variety of ways: At the Training & Career Meeting Point, various training institutes and further education providers will provide information about their courses. And at the “Innovation made in Germany” pavilion subsidised by the BMWK (German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action), start-ups and young companies can present themselves and their product innovations to a professional audience. The FeuerTrutz After Work on the first evening of the fair provides the opportunity for relaxed networking outside the exhibition itself. At the nearby Max Morlock Stadium, visitors can look forward to Franconian specialities and a beer garden vibe.

Parallel to FeuerTrutz: Fire Protection Congress and BrandschutzDIREKT extinguishing technology seminar

At the Fire Protection Congress organised by RM Rudolf Müller Medien, fire protection designers, certified experts, fire safety officers, auditors and employees of official agencies can look forward to professional development of the highest calibre. In around 40 presentations at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg’s NCC Ost congress centre and via live stream on 21 and 22 July, top-class speakers will discuss key topics like “Targeted and structured implementation of fire protection in existing buildings”, “Risks and concepts for batteries and other energy storage devices”, and “Effective fire protection in modern timber structures”. The BrandschutzDIREKT extinguishing technology seminar organised by the bvfa (Federal Association for Technical Fire Protection) and RM Rudolf Müller Medien will also take place in NCC Ost on the first day of the fair. The specialist presentations will explore the latest innovations in extinguishing technology as well as case studies and real-life experiences.
