The dynamic automotive sector is facing numerous challenges that will be examined from the perspective of injection moulding. The IIMC will engage in discussions and presentations that specifically address topics such as sustainability, digitalisation, innovative advances in interior design, and the latest technologies in structural components. Various aspects will be explored to unravel the complexity of these issues and collaboratively develop solutions.
The program includes five sessions covering the following topics: "Carbon footprint as an indicator of sustainability," "Increasing sustainability in the injection moulding process," "Foam injection moulding for function integration," "Multi-component applications in the automotive industry," and "Assistance systems and HMI." The presentations will showcase the latest research findings and provide insights into current experiences and developments within the industry. All presentations will be delivered in English.
The exceptional venue for this year’s IIMC deserves special mention. For the first time, the conference will take place at the state-of-the-art Plastics Innovation Center of IKV on the Campus Melaten. Participants will benefit from the direct proximity between conference rooms and the technical centre, enabling a close interconnection between theory and practice. With conference rooms and the technical centre located vis-à-vis, the lecture programme is presented with a view of the injection moulding technical centre, where various processes and innovations will be demonstrated live during the event days. Participants will have the unique opportunity to experience theoretical content directly in practice.
The networking breaks will provide ample opportunity to interact with experts and industry partners on-site. Additionally, there will be a tabletop exhibition featuring various partner companies in the technical centre’s facilities, facilitating intensive exchange on innovative products and services.
The IIMC 2023 promises to be an inspiring and groundbreaking event, providing important impulses for the plastics processing industry and the automotive sector. The IKV and its team are excited to welcome professionals and enthusiasts from all over the world to shape the future of plastics technology and injection moulding together.
