- New integration combines planning with media management
- Enhanced Integration Offers Streamlined Workflows and Improved User Experience for News, Sports, and Entertainment Content Creation
- VidiNet products are now embedded in Wolftech – full functionality within a single UI
Arvato Systems‘ Vidispine portfolio has stood for scalable IT solutions in the media and industry sectors for years. Now Arvato Systems deepens their partnership with Wolftech Broadcast Solutions, a Norway based company that provides a story-centric media management planning system that enhances collaboration and efficiency in newsgathering and story creation for news, sport and entertainment productions.
A key objective of the integration was to solve the challenges commonly faced by media organizations in relation to producing content in a timely and efficient manner. This goal has been successfully achieved through the seamless integration of VidiNet products into Wolftech, specifically addressing the need to connect news planning and media asset management (MAM) while streamlining user work processes. Through this integration, content guidance workflows managed in Wolftech can be directly associated to assets in Vidispine.
Vidispine’s API integration enables users to effortlessly search and access assets and data within the Media Management System directly from the Wolftech user interface. This integration also facilitates the direct linking of media content to a story, providing a cohesive and efficient content creation experience. Alternatively, users can leverage the MediaPortal panel within the Wolftech application to link various assets across the organization, eliminating the need to navigate away from the platform.
Arvato Systems’ Vidispine team has many years of experience in the media industry. Customers benefit from market-proven products, customizable solutions and high scalability in the cloud. The modular architecture is designed from the ground up to be completely flexible and adaptable to any customer requirement.
“We are happy that we have been able to deepen our partnership with the Vidispine team from Arvato Systems and in doing so create genuine added value for our mutual customers,” said Brendan Sultana, Head of Sales, Wolftech Broadcast Solutions. “The integration of MediaPortal and Wolftech is a great success. Thanks to the embedding, users have full functionality of both solutions from one application. This ensures they are working more efficiently and provides a clear link between the story and where video content is stored in Vidispine.”
MediaPortal is Vidispine’s solution for media discovery and collaboration, geared towards providing editors, journalists, and content creators with the tools they need to tell their stories. As a centralized, web-based and unified approach to accessing all of their Vidispine managed media and non-media files, MediaPortal’s comprehensive set of functional features supports teams in how to search and find relevant material with the aid of an advanced search logic and intuitive design – reducing otherwise complex searches to simple ones.
"The integration is an exciting milestone in our partnership with Wolftech. It is great that we have succeeded in efficiently combining news planning and media management. Our goal is always to improve our customers‘ user experience and provide them with the best possible support in their day-to-day work. This integration is another successful step in this direction," said Annika Kimpel, Partner Manager at Vidispine.
