"all about automation offers a perfect platform for networking users and decision-makers from the industry and discussing solutions for the challenges of the future together. With our innovative approach and sustainable technologies, we at LAPP are making a significant contribution to the smart factory of tomorrow," explains Karl Heckl, CSO LA EMEA. "Our focus is on understanding the needs of our customers and giving them a clear direction with our developments and technologies."
A special highlight at the stand is the LAPP Industrial Communication Wall, which brings the topic of Industrial dommunication to life for users. It offers insights into modern applications and solutions for the automation industry such as Single Pair Ethernet and fibre optics, which are playing an increasingly important role in networked production. LAPP shows how these technologies help to efficiently expand existing networks and meet the increasing demands for data speed and reliability.
Smart and sustainable solutions for many applications and industries
The Stuttgart-based company will also be providing information about its comprehensive product range for common protocol standards and demonstrating that it is familiar with the challenges of modern industries and offers the right solution for every requirement – whether for fixed installations, flexible applications or demanding motion sequences.
Another key topic at the trade fair stand is sustainability, which is becoming increasingly important for the future of the industry. LAPP is bringing its tried-and-tested lead-free SKINDICHT® and SKINTOP® cable glands and components to the stand, as well as the ETHERLINE® FD bioP Cat.5e data cable with a more sustainable PUR jacket, which is now in series production. The company will also be demonstrating how it calculates the carbon footprint of its products and what benefits the DEKRA-certified values offer LAPP customers.
Know-how and technological expertise
Also taking centre stage at the trade fair: LAPP Harnessing Solutions. As customised products, they are LAPP’s all-round carefree package and include products, solutions, services and a wealth of expertise from documentation to series production. Visitors can see what this can look like in practice particularly well at the new trade fair exhibit, a dynamic drag chain that integrates the ETHERLINE® GUARD from LAPP. This innovative solution for predictive maintenance informs users at all times about the condition of components integrated in the connection solution and provides information on whether they need to be replaced in a timely manner.
The cable manufacturer’s new remote I/O devices also close a gap in the automation pyramid: with IO-Link technology, they enable efficient connection of sensors and actuators to automation systems, reduce wiring work and simplify commissioning thanks to plug-and-play. Particularly suitable for intralogistics applications, the devices support numerous protocols such as PROFINET, Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP. The portfolio includes IO-Link masters and hubs from the UNITRONIC® ACCESS series, which enable simple configuration via web interfaces. Quality "Made in Germany" rounds off the solution and guarantees reliability and durability.
