This should set the trend for the Balearic Islands as a whole in terms of sustainable mobility. The switch to environmentally friendly driving requires many raw materials. For example, the key metal copper is used in energy storage systems, drives and electronics. Automation, digitalization and a high-performance infrastructure network also consume copper. Zinc provides corrosion protection and is well suited as a material for shielding against electromagnetic and electrical forces.
