Hall: 5, Stand-Nr.: F80 – LogiMAT – the international trade fair for intralogistics solutions and process management – will take place in Stuttgart from March 11-13, 2025. Heidrive will be presenting drive solutions for conveyor and storage technology in Hall 5, Booth F80. Its sister company Allied Motion will also be represented on the booth.

Intralogistics is a rapidly growing industry full of new impulses and therefore in a constant process of change. In times of Logistics 4.0, e-commerce and same-day delivery, fast and smooth goods handling is more important than ever.

Above all, efficient and process-optimized order picking is being sought. Modern conveying and order picking systems such as automated logistics systems with conveyor technology, lifting systems or automated guided vehicles (AGVs) play an essential role in the material flow.

As a drive technology specialists, among others for the intralogistics sector, Heidrive and Allied Motion work in close contact with customers to develop and manufacture customized drive solutions that can be optimally integrated into the respective application while saving space.

Drive units for AGV applications

The focus of the trade fair presentation at this year’s LogiMAT is placed on the new drive solutions consisting of motor and gearbox for AGVs.

The AGV gearboxes have been specially developed for use as wheel hub gearboxes in a wide variety of industrial trucks. This type of application generally places the highest demands on a compact design and a direct connection to the application and the driving wheel. In order to achieve the best connection possible between gearbox and servomotor, the AGV gearboxes with the tried-and-tested direct motor attachment have been integrated into Heidrive’s modular servomotor system. This results in units that are perfectly matched to the requirements of battery-powered vehicles.

Space-saving and efficient

Direct integration allows both overall length and weight to be saved, which has a positive effect on the portable payload and the dimensions of the entire drive unit. Direct mounting also offers the opportunity to further increase the transmission efficiency and therefore the efficiency of the drive unit. The design of the transmission mounting allows very high radial forces, which correspond directly to the payload to be loaded, to be absorbed while at the same time ensuring high rigidity of the overall unit.

Additionally, Allied Motion shows its drive solutions for AGVs at the LogiMAT this year at the Heidrive booth. The KinetiMax High Power Density series is integrated into AGV wheel drives. The brushless and frameless external rotor motors are characterized by a robust housing and fail-safe brakes.

Modular motor principle

As the gearboxes, which have already been specially adapted to these areas of application, have been integrated into the existing modular system, this results in a wide range of combinations for the user, utilizing the entire range of variations. Heidrive’s modular system enables individual drive systems for diverse applications without long development times. Standardized interfaces make it possible to assemble individual drive modules. This principle therefore makes it possible to supply a suitable motor with the required power, the desired gearbox, with or without a brake, a wide variety of encoder systems and integrated or attached electronics in the shortest possible time.

A specially developed motor configurator on the Heidrive homepage makes it possible to put together an individual motor online.
