The regulation (EU) 2025/327 on the “European Health Data Space” (EHDS) has entered into force today and the non-profit go.eIDAS-Association has joined forces with the TEAM-X project to launch the “EHDS Community Group” and the website https://EHDS.io.

The EHDS supports primary and secondary use of health data all over Europe

This EHDS-regulation (EU) 2025/327 will empower citizens across Europe to take control of their personal health data. It does this by facilitating the trusted exchange of health data for the purpose of providing healthcare services across the EU (primary use of health data) and by creating a coherent, trusted, and efficient environment for research, innovation, policymaking, and regulatory activities (secondary use of health data).

go.eIDAS-Association and TEAM-X project launch “EHDS Community Group”

To support the timely and trustworthy implementation of the EHDS across Europe, the non-profit go.eIDAS Assocation has joined forces with the experts from the TEAM-X-project to launch the “EHDS Community Group” and the website https://EHDS.io today. Within the TEAM-X research project, which has been funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) to create a “Trusted Ecosystem of Applied Medical data eXchange”, ten consortium partners and three cooperation partners have been working since 2022 to strengthen the European population’s ability and self-determination in handling their health and care related data, as well as to increase the digital competence and innovative strength of the health and care sector. "Our work demonstrates our foresight. We are very pleased to be able to offer innovative solutions for the implementation of the EHDS," adds project manager Sebastian Hilke.

“EHDS Community Group” invites all stakeholders to join and help to shape the EHDS

The “EHDS Community Group” within the non-profit go.eIDAS-Association welcomes all interested organisations and individuals who want to contribute to the development of a sovereign, trustworthy, user-centric and interoperable EHDS using electronic identification and trust services from the eIDAS-regulation (EU) No. 910/2014 and trustworthy data technologies in line with the Data Governance Act (EU) 2022/868 and the Data Act (EU) 2023/2854.
