IAV joins the UN Global Compact network and thus commits itself to sustainable action. The United Nations has confirmed IAV’s inclusion in the world’s largest initiative for sustainable and responsible corporate governance.

The United Nations Global Compact (UN GC) is the world’s largest and most widespread voluntary corporate sustainability initiative and supports responsible corporate governance.

As a member, IAV commits to align its corporate strategy, day-to-day operations, and corporate culture with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and anti-corruption, and to engage in joint projects that promote the United Nations‘ universal development goals, in particular the Sustainable Development Goals.

"The UN Global Compact aims to create a sustainable and viable economy. This includes a sustainable corporate management and the development as well as the distribution of environmentally friendly technologies. IAV has been pursuing this goal since its inception. As a technology solution provider, it is very important for us to advance future technologies such as autonomous driving and artificial intelligence to conserve natural resources and the environment." says Dr. Uwe Horn, CEO and Labor Director at IAV.

Dr. Uwe Horn continues: "For us, joining the network is an opportunity to commit IAV even more clearly to the principles that the UN Global Compact defines as a guideline and to align our sustainability strategy with them. We are looking forward to being part of a network that actively promotes human rights, environmental protection and sustainability."

IAV signed the declaration of accession on Dec. 16, 2022. The accession was confirmed by the UN Global Compact office on June 16, 2023.
