Dr Lulu Shi from Oxford University makes the start.Sheis a sociologist and lecturer at the Faculty of Education in Oxford. Her current research focus is the future of education. She will point out how teaching format, communication channels, and classroom curriculum are progressively shaped by technological tools and infrastructure. Therefore, she performed aclose inspection of the products and services offered by EdTech (Educational Technology) companies.
In the second session, Prof Stephan Krusche, the expert in software engineering at TUM Campus Heilbronn, will demonstrate the pioneering use of language models in the academic world. Using the example of IRIS, the innovative chatbot in the Artemis learning platform, we will learn how AI is transforming communication and learning. Through IRIS, Krusche not only helps students to gain a better understanding, but also open up new avenues for personalised learning and motivating feedback. Stephan is convinced: "AI is the future of education – that’s why we are making it the core of our teaching methods.”
Finally, Dr Fabian Stephany builds a bridge from teaching to the world of work. He asked what new approaches employers are taking when recruiting new talent and what skills the employees of tomorrow will need. Fabian Stephany is co-founder of the Online Labour Observatory, a digital data hub operated by the Oxford Internet Institute (OII) and the International Labour Organization.
Following the concentrated expertise, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions to all three speakers.
