As an industrial safety expert, 3M has been consistently addressing the challenges of welding protection for more than 35 years. The company’s welding helmets have undergone a program of continuous improvement and further development. With the new 3M Speedglas Welding Helmet 9002NC, 3M is now introducing a slim fit helmet solution that sets new standards for natural color and comfort during welding.
Natural Color Technology: Turns green into natural colors When welding, 3M Speedglas Natural Color Technology provides a more precise view of the essentials. Surfaces are more clearly defined and colored control elements and displays on machines are easier discerned looking through the helmet’s filter. Compared to conventional filters, 3M’s innovative Natural Color Technology provides a significantly improved view of the welding work and environment.
Safe protection and enhanced wearer comfort The new 3M Speedglas Welding Helmet 9002NC also boasts a particularly slim profile helmet design. This ensures enhanced wearer comfort and satisfies the requirements for ergonomics and fit that professional welders place on reliable and comfortaXXXble protective equipment. The helmet features exhaust vents to channel exhaled air out of the helmet. Compared to other welding helmets such vents, this reduces the amount of carbon monoxide in the helmet’s interior, making it more comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. The helmet also features an ergonomically designed headband and an extra-large viewing area.
Award-winning design The helmet’s design has received a host of awards, including the internationally renowned iF Design Award, the Excellent Swedish Design Prize and the Plant Engineering Product of the Year Grand Award.
