This allows either to produce two identical or different pellet sizes simultaneously. The ASCO P55i reaches a production capacity of 550 kg/h and belongs to the latest i-Series generation.

The ASCO P55i dry ice pelletizer is equipped with a large Siemens 12 inch-touchscreen-control panel. The touchscreen display can be used to overview all production as well as machine data, among other things. The automatic control of the oil temperature and of the dry ice snowing process guarantees a continuous and smooth production immediately after the start of the machine. The P55i has three different production modes ("non-stop production", "preset quantity" and "fully automatic" in combination with another ASCO machine).

Compared to its predecessor, the ASCO P450, the new ASCO dry ice pelletizer is equipped with state-of-the-art remote maintenance technology, offering a variety of remote access, remote data and remote management capabilities. This enables fast troubleshooting and machine maintenance or the collection of production and performance data. Thus, ASCO CARBON DIOXIDE LTD continues its development in future-proof dry ice production technologies based on Industry 4.0 standards.

Managing Director Marco Pellegrino explains: "With the new ASCO Dry Ice Pelletizer P55i, we are expanding the product portfolio for our customers with a very powerful yet compact machine. At the same time, we offer maximum flexibility through the possibility of parallel production of different pellet sizes. Recently, dry ice as a cooling medium was very present in the media due to the Corona pandemic and its advantages were in the focus worldwide. Many companies have invested in their own dry ice production facilities and now serve various industries with a wide range of requirements. For this, the P55i is the optimal solution."

Dry ice is used in industries such as transport refrigeration of food or pharmaceutical products as well as dry ice blasting. The advantages of an in-house dry ice production include cost-efficient just-in-time production, consistent dry ice quality, minimal logistical effort, more efficient cleaning results in dry ice blasting, and less dry ice loss due to sublimation. The independence from an external supplier not only ensures higher quality and flexibility in the daily work process, but also shorter downtimes in production and thus higher profitability.
