- Five new Kögel Mega Rail Euro Trailers
- Five new Kögel Cargo Rail Euro Trailers
logistik in XXL GmbH based in Brunswick, Lower Saxony, is expanding its fleet by acquiring a total of 10 new Euro Trailers from the inventor of the semi-trailer with 1.3 metre extension. Five Euro Trailers in the Mega Rail variant and another five of the Cargo Rail model. The company will be supplying the new semi-trailers to customers from a wide variety of industries, such as the automotive just-in-time sector and the beverage industry. An elongated trailer offers four more pallet places than a standard trailer and so logistik in XXL can save three journeys for every 1,000 pallets transported. The internal clearance height of three metres in the Mega Rail Euro Trailer also allows the transportation of up to six more pallet cages. This offers other ecological and economical benefits: up to ten percent fuel savings and up to a ten percent reduction in CO2 emissions.
Kögel Mega Rail Euro Trailer and Kögel Cargo Rail Euro Trailer
Based on the legal requirements in Germany, these elongated trailers can naturally be used for combined transport too. The trailers are fitted with a reinforced chassis frame. Thanks to the gripper edges integrated into the frame, a gripper jaw tarpaulin protection and special axles in a rail design, the elongated trailers can be loaded onto rail transport. For unaccompanied boat and ferry transport, the five Mega Rail Euro Trailers also feature optional RoRo equipment with an 8 mm thick closed slide plate and four pairs of heavy-duty lashing rings with 12,000 kilograms of test force as well as signage in accordance with DIN EN 29367-2. All Kögel Euro Trailers are, of course, certified in accordance with DIN EN 12642 Code XL. To avoid the usual need for aluminium or wooden slats, the trailers can be fitted with an optional sliding tarpaulin at the sides, with 26 vertical aluminium lattices per side. Other individual features include a steel pallet stop, a tyre monitoring system, toolboxes and much more.
Cathodic dip-paint coating: lasting protection from corrosion
On all variants of the Kögel Euro Trailer, the entire vehicle frame is given long-lasting protection against corrosion by nano ceramic technology and cathodic dip-paint coating, supplemented with a coat of UV varnish.
